Mindfulness Based Cancer Survivorship (MBCS) is a course that was developed and presented in an integrative survivorship program at a large metropolitan hospital. This program was adapted from the mindfulness principles developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn – creator of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at the University of Massachusetts.
The purpose of our course is to bring the benefits of mindfulness meditation to the cancer survivorship community.
Your annual subscription gives you access at any time to the content of MBCS. You can view and re-view modules at you own pace for a deeper, more powerful learning experience. Your course includes 16 educational videos, 8 meditations, and downloadable documents.
Mindfulness meditation is an evidence-based therapeutic modality shown to relieve anxiety, decrease pain, support sleep, and promote healing in the cancer survivor population.
Mindfulness is the natural state of living moment by moment. You will learn how to use the power of your mind to live each moment with compassion for self and others, to open to your innate healing potential, and to live in gratitude and peace.
Mindfulness will help you to reach inside and find the power within yourself to say “yes” to today…one moment at a time. Many have found this practice is not about surviving but rather about thriving!
Studies have shown a direct link between stress and health. Stress lowers the body’s ability to fight infections and can actually cause increased inflammation which prevents healing. This course in mindfulness will give you tools that can reduce the effects of stress on your body.
The calm mind is a healing mind…
the practice of making every moment a healing moment!
